transitive verb

to expel forcefully.
The driver was ejected from the vehicle during the crash.
The CD player is broken and won’t eject the CD.
The quick maneuver helped the choking man eject the cough drop from his windpipe.

intransitive verb

to throw or propel oneself out of an aircraft in an emergency, by use of an ejection seat or capsule.
The pilot ejected from the fighter plane when the engine failed.
