Bogs are suitable for growing cranberries.

to become or cause to be stuck or immobilized as in a bog (usu. fol. by “down”).
I got bogged down with errands this morning and didn’t have time to go for my swim.
Don’t let all these worries bog you down; just keep moving toward your goal.
We’re trying to bring about change, but we’re bogged down in bureaucratic paperwork.
